Education Solutions > Promoting a Positive Work Ethic > Work Ethic K-8
The program is designed to reflect a continuum of skill development and define them developmentally - what is displayed at the end of elementary and middle school. A group of educators and business leaders worked together to translate the successful high school Worth Ethic Diploma/Career Passport program to standards appropriate for younger grades.
The standards were translated and approved by the Work Ethic K-8 committee, a focus group of educators and parents, and the Education Alliance of Northern Kentucky. The program was officially launched to area elementary and middle schools in 2006. A guidebook, was developed to act as a resource for implementing the program in elementary and middle schools.
