Business > Minority Owned Businesses > Minority Business Certification
The Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Kentuckiana Minority Business Council (KMBC) and the South Central Ohio Minority Business Council (SCOMBC) assists minority businesses with the certification process and helps corporations find minority suppliers.

Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) certification can help open doors, build relationships with corporations and public sector entities who are looking to make purchases from and do business with MBE's. The suppliers must be certified for corporations to meet their quotas and receive credit for their minority programs. KMBC and SCOMBC designations verify that a business is at least 51% owned, operated and managed by minority group members. Minority group members are U.S. Citizens who are African-American, Hispanic American, Native American, Asian-Pacific American and Asian Indian American.
