Business Growth > Entrepreneurship > Finding a Location
When planning the start up of a new business, careful consideration is necessary when determining the physical location of the business. Here are some tips.
Retail and Service-related businesses. A retail business will need to give special attention to the location of its store since high visibility is critical. Also consider ease of access to and from a retail store or any service-related business and study the traffic patterns to ensure it supports the smooth flow of traffic in and out of the store or business itself.
Zoning Considerations. Research and following zoning laws to ensure the business is located in area that is zoned for the type of business.
Tax Implications. The tax implications for a business will also vary depending on the city and county where the business will operate. Also, depending on how the business is classified, careful attention may need to be given to the Americans with Disabilities Act guidelines.
