Mr. Althaus has spent more than 25 years in or supporting the Manufacturing and Distribution Industry with responsibilities in many areas including purchasing, quality, production, distribution, and materials management. He has held positions ranging from Shift Supervisor to Corporate Vice President of Operations.
Mr. Althaus presently is an independent consultant and educator with Althaus Consulting LLC. His previous area of focus was in leading projects of ERP software implementation in a variety of manufacturing and distribution environments as well as facilitating process reviews and improvements. He presently teaches the APICS body of knowledge “in house” to companies requesting this service. Ron teaches all of the Fundamentals Modules, CPIM Modules, and CSCP Modules. He also teaches the APICS workshops
on Lean, Inventory Control and Theory of Constraints. He has taught more than 70 classes and hundreds of students in many different companies since specializing in this area in the year 2000.
Mr. Althaus obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Cincinnati. He is recognized as a Lifetime Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) by the Institute of Supply Management, (ISM) formerly the National Association of Purchasing Management (NAPM). He is a Certified "Fellow" in Production & Inventory Management (CFPIM), he is also Certified in Integrated Resource Management (CIRM), and is a Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) by APICS, the Association for Operations
Management. Additionally, Ron is recognized as a Distinguished Toastmaster by Toastmasters International.
